‘Circus’ Comes to Mar-a-Lago

PALM BEACH, FL – The Big Top came to The Club.

More than 400 guests attending Cirque du Palm Beach, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual gala, were treated to jugglers, a fire eater, a silk trapeze aerialist and other circus acts around the Mar-a-Lago Club’s elegant pool and under the Big Top in the club’s themed ballroom.

Veteran broadcaster Tim Byrd was the evening’s master of ceremonies, while Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw served as celebrity auctioneer. The program’s presenting sponsor was Jason Brian of Autocricket.com

Proceeds from the annual gala benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the nation’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

Suzy Minkoff, a driving force behind the organization for years, was presented a Lifetime Achievement award. Also recognized were the gala’s International Chair Hermé de Wyman Miro, Honorary Chairwoman Ari Rifkin, Honorary Chairman Patrick Park, Chairman Emeritus Elizabeth Fago and Host Gala Chairs Donald and Melania Trump.

Special guests who were recognized included the event’s Honorary National Chairs: Rhoda and David Chase, Mary Virginia and Henry Fong, Lisa Leder, Erin and Sean McGould, Lois Pope, Sally and Dick Robinson and Kathryn and Leo Vecellio as well as the Junior Gala Chairmen: Joey and Jamie Fago and Rich and Trish Rendina, along with the gala committee.
