First Snyder Kuklis Scholarship Awarded By Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach

Recently the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach awarded its first-ever Snyder Kuklis Scholarship to Laura Gonzalez. The scholarship is awarded to an area high school senior who wishes to pursue a collegiate course of study in architectural design, interior design or landscape design. The recipient receives a financial award of $5,000.

Gonzalez just graduated from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. She plans to attend Carnegie Mellon to study architecture.

The scholarship is named to honor the sister of longtime Preservation Foundation trustee Scott Snyder. Deborah, Scott Snyder’s sister, passed away suddenly last summer.

Scott Snyder along with Preservation Foundation Co-Directors Janice G. Owens and Alexander C. Ives, Preservation Foundation Chairman John Mashek, and architect and Preservation Foundation trustee Jeffery Smith served as the selection committee to award the scholarship.
