Dr. Ronald Ross of Cleveland Honored by Einstein College of Medicine

Dr. Ronald Ross, of Boca Raton, FL, and Gates Mills, OH, was honored by his alma mater, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, as a member of the Guardian Society of Alumni Donors.

Dean Allen M. Spiegel, M.D., bestowed the honor at a program for friends and supporters of Einstein hosted by Dr. Ross and his wife, Helen Ross, in Boca Raton, FL.

Dr. Ross is an active supporter of the College of Medicine. He has established the Dr. Ronald J. Ross Endowed Student Research Fellowship and is a member of the Alumni Association Board of Governors. He also chaired the 50th anniversary reunion of his Einstein class of 1960.

Dr. Ross retired as Director Emeritus of the Department of Radiology of Hillcrest Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Health System, and he continues his involvement in several community and philanthropic activities. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Clinic for 14 years and, since 2006, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the four east region Cleveland Clinic hospitals.

The Einstein College of Medicine, founded at a time when few minorities and women studied medicine, accepts students without regard to race, gender or social standing. Today, Einstein alumni account for more than 8,000 of America’s premier medical educators, clinicians and biomedical research specialists, and is at the forefront in advances involving diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, AIDS and the brain and neuroscience.
