French-Quarter Theme for Foundation’s 40th

West Palm Beach, FLAngela and Douglas Stockham will serve as honorary chairs of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties’ 40th anniversary gala, “An Evening in the Vieux Carré.”

The French-Quarter themed affair will honor the foundation’s former board chairs.

Christina and Benjamin Macfarland, III will serve as junior chairs of the gala.

The invitation-only program will be held at the Flagler Museum on Jan. 24, 2013. A reception begins at 7 p.m. with dinner and dancing to follow.

In the backdrop of the essence and flair of the French Quarter, the gala will celebrate the Community Foundation’s history.

The Community Foundation, established in 1972, is the steward of more than 277 individual funds, ranging in value from $10,000 to $20 million, established by area families, private foundations, corporations and philanthropists. The Community Foundation invests these funds and the income is used to make grants to community non-profit organizations.
