Petra Levin to Chair American Cancer Society Gala

PALM BEACH, FLPetra Levin has been named chairman of the American Cancer Society’s 55th annual Palm Beach gala.

The gala, which also marks the 100th anniversary of the American Cancer Society, will be held Feb. 1, 2013, at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.

Patrick Park and Patty Myura will serve as the honorary chairmen. Tom Quick is the chairman of the board of trustees of the American Cancer Society’s Island of Palm Beach Unit.

“In addition to raising funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to cure this dreadful disease, we want to raise awareness to increase early detection, when certain cancers are most likely curable,” Levin said.
