PALM BEACH, Fla. – Organizers of the Beach Bash, benefitting the American Red Cross, met recently to finalize plans for the 7th annual party in the sand.

This year’s bash will honor the late fashion icon Lilly Pulitzer. It will be held at The Beach Club on Dec. 28, 2013.

The evening, “A Story Written in the Sun,” is presented by the Lilly Pulitzer fashion house. Pulitzer’s grandson, Bobby Leidy, is chairman of the event, which is expected to attract more than 600 supporters.

Beach Bash committee members met at Testa’s in Palm Beach on Oct. 29, 2013, for a reception and meeting to finalize plans for the event.

“My family has supported the American Red Cross for decades, so helping to raise awareness for the organization was a natural decision,” Leidy said.

“This year’s event is especially meaningful for me as we honor my late grandmother and her ‘Story Written in the Sun.’”

Leidy, a vice president with Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Palm Beach, has served as chairman of the Beach Bash for the past six years. He is the eldest grandson of Pulitzer, the founder of presenting sponsor Lilly Pulitzer Corporation.
