Leukemia & Lymphoma’s 20th Annual Man & Woman of the Year Campaign

Tiffany Kenney and Todd McDermott, co-anchors from media sponsor WPBF 25 News, emceed the Grand Finale, which attracted over 300 supporters. It marked the end of the candidates’ 10-week fundraising campaigns.
Inge, of JDI Group, raised $57,915, while Mikel, of Gold Rush America, raised $50,316. The runners-up were David Siegel of Northwestern Mutual and Teresa Dabrowski of The Benjamin School.

The candidates competed in honor of the Society’s Boy & Girl of the Year, local children who are leukemia survivors and an inspiration to others. Sixteen-year-old Jennifer Reichert and 9-year-old Sebastian Jazmin were honored in Palm Beach County.

All proceeds from Man & Woman of the Year benefitted the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Proceeds help fund blood cancer research and provide financial aid to local patients and their families.
